Stock Market Closed: Sensex closed down by 866 points, Nifty fell by 271 points

On Friday, the 30-share Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange closed at 54,835.58, down 866.65 points in the Indian stock market.
At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also closed at 16,411.25, down 272.40 points.
Earlier, the Sensex had fallen 980.45 points to 54,721.78 in early trade, while the Nifty fell by 300.15 points to reach 16,382.50.
