Sensex opening bell: Indian market opened strong on Monday, Sensex 400 and Nifty up 100 points


On Monday, the Sensex has seen a gain of about 400 points in the opening trade, while the Nifty is also seeing a rise of about a hundred points. Sensex is 54175 at 9.21 am while Nifty is trading at a level of 16180 points.


Stocks like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharma, and Tata Steel are showing strength. On the other hand, there is a slight weakness in the shares of HDFC, HDFC Bank, and M&M.

On the first trading day of the week, there has been a good rally in the global markets. The Dow Jones had gained more than 600 points on Friday. On Monday (July 18), AGX Nifty (SGX Nifty) is also seeing an increase. On Friday, crude oil prices saw a jump of 2.5 percent.


Talking about Asian markets, Japan's market is closed today. The results of companies like BOA, Goldman Sachs, Tesla, and Netflix are to come into the global market this week. The monsoon session of Parliament will begin in India today. During this, the government plans to pass a total of 24 bills. This can also affect the movement of the stock market.
