Inflation hit: 14.2 kg domestic cylinder price hiked by Rs 50, know how much it cost


The government has increased the price of domestic cylinders. With this, now the cylinder used in the house of 14.2 kg has become expensive by Rs 50. The price of domestic cylinder has reached Rs 999.50 in Delhi from today. It is worth noting that from May 1, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders had increased by more than Rs 100. However, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders were not increased then. Earlier in April also, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were increased by Rs 250.


Cylinder prices were increased on 22 March
It is worth noting that earlier in the month of March also, the price of domestic gas cylinder was increased, after which its price in Delhi increased to Rs 949.50. Let us inform that on March 22, the price of subsidized domestic LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 50 in the same sequence that started in the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG after the assembly elections held in five states.


LPG prices were stable since October 6
Before March 22, the prices of LPG cylinders remained stable for almost six months. There was no change in the rate of domestic LPG cylinder after 6 October 2021. But this time the price of 14.2 kg cylinder was increased in a span of just one month. Gas prices are seeing an increase due to the supply chain affected by the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
