Gold price today: 22 and 24-carat gold, silver is being sold at this price on Wednesday for Rs 70,000 kg


Today i.e. on April 20, ten grams of 24-carat gold are being sold in India at Rs 54,380. One kg of silver is selling at Rs 70,000 after gaining Rs 100 from yesterday's price of Rs 69,900.

According to the Good Returns website, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being bought in New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai for Rs 49,850. The same quantity of gold is being sold in Chennai for Rs 50,290.

If we look at the price of 24 carat gold, then 10 grams of gold is being available in Kolkata, New Delhi and Mumbai for Rs 54,380. The price of gold of the same 24 carat purity in Chennai is Rs 54,870.

In Madurai and Patna, 10 grams of 22 carat gold is being sold for Rs 50,290 and Rs 49,880 respectively. Gold of 24 carat purity is being sold for Rs 54,870 in Madurai and Rs 54,460 in Patna.


Talking about areas like Hyderabad, Kerala and Bangalore, 10 grams of 22 carat gold is available at a price of Rs 49,850. Similarly, in Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar and Vijayawada also gold of 22 carat purity is being traded at Rs 49,850 in the same quantity. However, 10 grams of 24 carat gold is being sold for Rs 54,380 in all the above mentioned areas.

In other cities including Ahmedabad and Chandigarh, 10 grams of 22 carat gold is trading at Rs 49,900 and Rs 49,950 respectively. The same quantity of 24 carat purity is being sold for Rs 54,430 in Ahmedabad and Rs 54,480 in Chandigarh.

Gold futures maturing on June 3 this year declined 0.96 per cent to Rs 52,760.00, an updated list by the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) shows. Silver futures also saw a decline of 1.68 percent and are currently at Rs 68,800.00.
