The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold in India today, April 16, is Rs 54,060, with no change from yesterday's price. After a huge increase of Rs 4,200 from yesterday's selling price of Rs 70,000, one kg of silver is selling at Rs 74,200.

According to the Good Returns website, 10 grams of 22 carat gold is being bought in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata for Rs 49,550. The same quantity of 22 carat gold is being sold in Chennai for Rs 50,140.
If we look at the rate of 24 carat gold, then the price of 10 grams of gold in Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi is Rs 54,060. The cost of the same quantity of gold of 24 carat purity is Rs 54,700 in Chennai.
In Pune and Jaipur, 10 grams of 22 carat gold is being sold at Rs 49,580 and Rs 49,650 respectively. The same quantity of 24 carat purity gold is being sold in Pune for Rs 54,090 and in Jaipur for Rs 54,210.
In Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kerala, 10 grams of 22 carat gold is being bought for Rs 49,550. Whereas, in Vijayawada, Mysore and Visakhapatnam, gold of 22 carat purity is priced at Rs 49,550. Besides this, 10 grams of 24-karat gold is trading at Rs 54,060 in all the above sectors.
In Patna and Chandigarh, 10 grams of 22 carat gold is being sold for Rs 49,580 and Rs 49,650. Gold of 24 carat purity is trading in the same quantity at Rs 54,090 in Patna and Rs 54,210 in Chandigarh.
Updated data from the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) showed that gold futures maturing on June 3 this year fell 0.17 per cent to Rs 52,991.00. Silver futures also fell 0.53 per cent to Rs 69,100.
