According to the Good Returns website, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being bought and sold for Rs 47,700 in Mumbai, Kolkata, and New Delhi. The same quantity of gold is being sold in Chennai for Rs 47,760.

If you look at the price of 24-carat gold, 10 grams of gold is available in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Kolkata for Rs 52,040. The cost of the same quantity of gold of 24-carat purity is Rs 52,100 in Chennai.

In Patna and Chandigarh, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is trading at Rs 47,780 and Rs 47,850 respectively. The price of 24-carat purity gold is Rs 52,090 in Patna and Rs 52,190 per 10 grams in Chandigarh.

In Kerala, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, 10 grams of 22-carat gold are being sold at Rs 47,700. In Vijayawada, Bhubaneshwar and Visakhapatnam also gold of 22-carat purity can be bought for Rs 47,700 in the same quantity. However, the value of 10 grams of 24-karat gold in all the above zones is Rs 52,040.

The revised Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) data showed gold futures maturing on August 5 this year rose 0.17 percent to Rs 51,053.00. On the other hand, silver futures fell by 0.28 percent to Rs 62,069.00.
