According to ANI, in some relief for consumers on New Year, the National Oil Marketing Companies have cut the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 102.50 with effect from January 1, 2022.
The cost of a 19 kg commercial cylinder will be ₹1998.50 in Delhi from today. This will provide some relief to restaurants, eateries, tea shops, etc., which constitute the largest user segment of the 19 kg cylinder.
Last month on December 1, the prices of 19 kg LPG cylinders were increased by ₹100, taking the price of 19 kg commercial cylinders to ₹2,101 in Delhi, the second highest price of 19 kg commercial cylinders after 2012-13, when it cost around ₹2,200 per cylinder.
However, there are no reductions in the prices of other domestic cylinders weighing 14.2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg composite, or 5 kg composite cylinders and their prices remain the same.
Earlier on 1 November, the prices of 19 kg commercial cylinder saw a steep hike of ₹266, pushing the prices up to ₹2,000.50.
After the new rate cut, a 19 kg cylinder will cost Rs 1,998.50 as against Rs 2,101 in Delhi.
LPG cylinder rates are revised monthly for all states and union territories in India. Earlier on October 1, the price of a 19 kg cylinder was reduced by Rs 43 and on October 6, a 19 kg commercial cylinder was reduced by Rs 2.50. On September 1, the price of a 19 kg cylinder was increased by Rs 75.
