In those times, young maids were referred to as Paswans and were often trained from an early age to serve in royal households. Raj Singh purchased this young girl, named Bani Thani, and she was raised within the palace walls.

From a Royal Servant to the Queen of His Heart

No one could have predicted that this young maid would one day capture the heart of the future king. Though she entered the palace as a servant, she eventually became the most cherished woman in Raja Sawant Singh’s life. Within the royal court, Bani Thani was trained in music and literature for the king’s entertainment. It was perhaps fate that Crown Prince Sawant Singh himself was deeply passionate about poetry and literature. Over time, this shared love for the arts drew them closer, and a deep bond formed between them.
