ISS: Big information has come to light about the Boeing Starliner carrying astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS). US space agency NASA said that the return of the Boeing Starliner carrying the first crew of astronauts has been postponed for a few days. NASA has not yet told about the new dates. After this, big difficulties have arisen for NASA's Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams and eight other crew members.

Many questions have been raised about the return of astronauts. People have a question in their mind that when will the two astronauts of the mission return. There has already been a delay due to testing and technical issues. NASA had earlier scheduled the return of the spacecraft on June 26. Advertisement

When will the astronauts return?

American astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams took off on June 5 to go to the International Space Station. Since 2019, NASA has sent it into space twice without humans. Its thrusters failed five times. Along with this, helium leaked five times. NASA and Boeing faced malfunctions, due to which additional tests had to be done. Now the question arises that when will the Starliner actually be able to bring back its crew. Along with this, many problems have been found in the spacecraft.

There are many problems in Starliner

Let us tell you that the company has spent $1.5 billion on cost overruns in addition to the $4.5 billion NASA development contract for this project. NASA wants Starliner to become the second American spacecraft that can carry astronauts to the International Space Station along with SpaceX's Crew Dragon. Boeing's Starliner program has been struggling with software glitches, design problems and disputes with subcontractors for years. When Starliner approached the space station to dock on June 6, it faced thruster failure. Due to this, the spacecraft did not reach the space station until it was fixed.

This thing found in the space station shocked scientists

Let us tell you that this had revealed the information of a superbug being found inside the ISS. Scientists had detected a multi-drug resistant bacteria called Enterobacter bugundensis. It has become more effective by developing in the closed environment of the ISS. According to scientists, it is a multi-drug resistant bacteria, due to which it has been named superbug. This bacteria infects the respiratory system.

These records are registered in Sunita's name

Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams flew to space for the third time on June 5 with a colleague. Sunita Williams has spent a record 322 days in space. She first reached space on 9 December 2006 and remained there till 22 June 2007. After this, she went on a second space journey on 14 July 2012 and remained in space till 18 November 2012. During her visit to the International Space Station in 2012, Sunita Williams completed a triathlon in space. She became the first person to do so. Williams completed training from the US Naval Academy in May 1987, after which she joined the US Navy. Williams was selected as an astronaut by NASA in 1998.
