Birbal died in Afghanistan

  • This was the time when Emperor Akbar ruled even Afghanistan. Historian Shami Zaman has written in his book 'Akbar' that at that time there was terror of some tribes in Swat and Bajaur.
  • Akbar sent his commander Khan Koka to deal with the tribal fighters, but he was defeated. After this Akbar decided to send Birbal to the battlefield, which was wrong.
  • Birbal was not a man who would fight with a sword on the battlefield. He knew very well how to sit in the court and make strategies against the enemy. Birbal was killed in Afghanistan.
  • It is also written somewhere that Khan Koka conspired to call Birbal to Afghanistan and then pushed him off the mountain. At that time too, rumours about Birbal's death continued for years.
  • Some people said that Birbal was buried under a huge rock. His body was not found. His last rites could not be performed. Some said that the news of his death was a rumour.
  • Birbal lived in Afghanistan for years in the guise of a sadhu. However, Birbal's death was a big blow to Emperor Akbar. After his departure, Akbar became silent.
