Ajab-Gajab: There were many such practices in ancient times, which are followed even today. The practice of making sacrifices even in religious rituals has been going on for centuries. There is a tradition of sacrificing animals in almost every religion. Now scientists have discovered some evidence which shows that at one time humans were also sacrificed in religious rituals. The most surprising thing is that during this time women were tied and buried. Even scientists are surprised to know about the work done with them. This is the story of India, in fact such sacrifices were made in the most developed countries of the world.

According to a report in Live Science, three skeletons were exhumed from a tomb in Saint-Paul-Trois-Château in southern France. These skeletons, which were taken out 20 years ago, are 5,500 years old. These provide information that a kind of religious ritual was performed in the Neolithic era. After this the women were tied alive and buried. They were buried in the pit where grains were kept. Two of these skeletons have been reinterpreted. These have revealed surprising things. It has been told that women were killed deliberately.

Was tied in a very special way

Women were tied and buried in a manner called encapretamento. His neck was stuck between his legs and tied to his back. By doing this, women would die in just a few hours. The third woman found in the grave was older, so she may have died due to natural causes. This woman was buried in the middle.

A recent research has been published in Science Advances Journal. According to this, more than a dozen such people have been identified. Scientists believe that this practice was prevalent in almost all the countries of Europe for about 2000 years.

Why were rituals performed?

Eric Crubezi, head of the research and a scientist at Paul Sabatier University, has explained this practice in detail. He said that many agricultural implements were also buried in the grave. Therefore it appears that this ritual was performed for farming. It may be that there was a belief that it improves the yield.

Eric Krubzi said that we found that a structure of a girl was placed over all the graves, which looks like the sun. Many broken stones used for grinding grains were also kept nearby. Looking at all this it seems that it was an agricultural ritual. He said that this method of human sacrifice was followed from the Czech Republic to Spain. Incapretamento is a unique method of murder used by the Mafia in Italy.
