Many times people even know that a lot of smoke is coming out from the bike or scooter but still people ignore this fact. But this small negligence of yours can cause you a big loss.

When does more smoke start coming out?

To know the answer to the question of when a scooter or a bike starts emitting excessive smoke, we spoke to Anil Kumar, owner of Shabbir Automobile located in Madhu Vihar (IP Extension Delhi), and we came to know that a bike or a scooter starts emitting excessive smoke due to a defect in the piston. Anil Kumar also informed us that when people do not get their bikes or scooter serviced on time, the engine oil dries up, in this situation the chances of the piston getting damaged increase.

If a person drives a bike, then in this situation not only the piston but also the clutch plate and running chain can get damaged. Apart from the piston, you may have to spend money on repairing or replacing these parts.

How much does it cost to fix?

If the piston is damaged, it can cost up to Rs 3,000 to repair the piston and including the labor cost. If the piston is not repaired or changed, the engine of the scooter or bike can even seize, if this happens, it can cost up to Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,000.

Will it affect the mileage as well?

When we asked Anil Kumar about the mileage, he told us that due to bad piston, not only the mileage but also the performance of your bike or scooter gets affected. Apart from this, the problem of short circuit starts in the spark plug.
