Now this provision of airbags will be applicable on vehicles of all prices and variants. However, due to this move of the Central Government, the price of vehicles will increase by 5 to 7 thousand rupees. Earlier, by issuing a notification on July 1, 2019, the central government had made air bags mandatory for the driver and front co-passenger from January 1, 2022.
Now the government has taken a big step by approving the draft GSR notification to make 6 airbags mandatory. The airbag is made of cotton. These have a silicon coating and are filled with sodium agate gas inside.
