This year Maruti is preparing to add many hybrid models to its portfolio. One of the company's hybrid models has been captured during road testing. Maruti Swift Hybrid has been seen on the roads of Delhi NCR and Fronx Hybrid has been seen on the roads of Gurgaon. Hybrid badge is visible at the back of Fronx. Maruti can launch its Fronx hybrid car in the market soon. Know here what new things you are going to get in it. What kind of engine will it have, how much mileage will it give and when will it be launched. You will get answers to all such questions here.
These features will be in Frontx Hybrid
According to reports, the Frontex badge seen during testing was above the 'Hybrid' badge. It is likely that Maruti Suzuki's hybrid setup can be paired with the new Z12E engine. This engine is already provided in the new Swift.
Maruti's strong hybrid system may be different from the hybrid setup of cars like Grand Vitara and Invicto. This will be a range extender system in which the petrol powertrain is used to recharge the battery pack. Power to the wheels of the car will be provided through an electric motor instead of a petrol engine.
Engine and Mileage
Suzuki's new strong hybrid system will be used in entry-level SUVs like the Frontex. Apart from this, there is a possibility that this system can also be offered with the next-gen Baleno. The Z12E petrol engine of Maruti's upcoming car generates 81.58 PS and 111.7 Nm. The fuel efficiency of the new Swift in the manual variant is 24.8 km/l and 25.75 km/l with AMT.
It is expected that the fuel efficiency of the Fronx Hybrid can be more than 30 km/l. The Fronx available in the market is powered by a 1.2-litre K series engine which generates 89.73 PS and 113 Nm.
