Kia Syros Facts: Kia Siros has finally been unveiled in India. The new sub-4m compact SUV will go on sale in February 2025. It is also scheduled to be showcased at the 2025 India Mobility Show in January. Unofficial bookings for Siros have already started at select Kia dealerships, while official pre-bookings will begin from 3 January 2025. Today we're going to tell you about some of its big features.
6 Trims Included
The Syros model lineup includes six trims – HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+ (O) – and two engine options: a 120bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol and a 116bhp, 1.5L diesel, while the petrol engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox, the diesel unit can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The higher variants with automatic gearboxes also feature paddle shifters.
Full focus on safety
As far as safety is concerned, Kia Siros has left no stone unturned on the part of the company. The company has been included with 6 airbags, radar based Level-2 ADAS with 16 self-control features.
Powertrain
Unlike the Sonet and Seltos, the Siros is not available with a naturally aspirated petrol engine. The company offers a 1-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Below is a description of the two engines offered by Siros.
The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 120 PS of max power and 172 Nm of peak torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 116 PS of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
