Today when electric cars are being discussed everywhere, the first name that comes in this list is Reva. This was India's first electric car which came in the year 2001. Its price was around 2 lakh rupees then and even today it is available for up to 3 lakh rupees. This car showed that it can also be electric. This was a 2-door hatchback car, most of whose parts were similar to Maruti Suzuki 800.

Hyundai Getz

Hyundai Getz was launched in the year 2004. The company launched it as an alternative to its popular car Santro. It can be called the country's first premium hatchback, which now competes with cars like Maruti Baleno and Tata Altroz. This was the first hatchback car in which the company gave a powerful engine. It had a 1.5 liter diesel engine, which generated 110 PS of power.
