Veteran automaker Mahindra has added two new variants to the diesel of its new SUV XUV700 in India, priced at Rs 19.99 and Rs 22.89 lakh ex-showroom. Let us know their specialty.
Country's leading automaker Mahindra has added two new AX7, 7-seater diesel variants to the model lineup of its new SUV XUV700. While the new AX7 luxury manual diesel model costs Rs 19.99 lakh, the AX7 luxury automatic, AWD diesel variant costs Rs 22.89 lakh. There are four more 7-seater variants available, including AX7 Petrol MT, AX7 Petrol AT, AX7 Diesel MT, and AX7 AT - priced at Rs 17.59 lakh, Rs 19.19 lakh, Rs 18.19 lakh, and Rs 19.79 lakh respectively. All the above prices are ex-showroom.
Let us tell you that all the prices will be applicable for the booking of the first 25000 cars. The company will start accepting pre-orders from 10 am on October 7. The delivery of the petrol variant will precede the delivery of the diesel variant. The official announcement regarding the date of commencement of delivery will be made by October 10.
The new optional luxury pack offers a bunch of additional features over the standard AX7 trim, including immersive 3D sound by Sony, smart door handles, 360 degrees surround view, blind view monitoring, electronic park brake, driver knee airbag, passive keyless entry, continuous Digital video recording, and wireless charging, etc.
Mahindra has also introduced the industry's first 'aid to cart' functionality for the new XUV700, the SUV on its official website. It enables customers to check various facilities including fuel type, seating capacity, color, and dealer preference before booking. Upon completion of the booking, any further modifications done by the buyer to the variant will be treated as a fresh booking.
The engine setup of the Mahindra XUV700 includes a 2.0L, 4-cylinder mStallion turbo petrol, and a 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel. While its gasoline unit is capable of producing 200bhp and 380Nm of torque, the diesel engine makes 155bhp along with 360Nm of torque and 420Nm (MT)/450Nm (AT) making 185bhp. The SUV is likely to get a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The diesel model will be exclusively offered with 4 driving modes - Zip, Zap, Zoom, and Custom.
