One reason behind the popularity of Punch is that the trend of buying SUVs has increased in the last few years and Punch, launched in October 2021, gave people a new option of affordable SUV. Tata Punch is currently the best-selling car in the country.
It was the second best-selling car in the first two months of the financial year 2024, i.e. January and February. After this, in March and April, Punch became the top-selling car in the country. Till this April, a total of 73,121 units have been sold.
Its 17,978 units were sold in January 2024, 18,438 in February 2024, 17,547 in March 2024, and 19,158 units in April 2024. Its sales have increased by 75% in April 2024 on an annual basis as a total of 10,934 units were sold in April 2023.
About Tata Punch
Tata Punch comes in a total of four trims – Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. Its price range is from Rs 6.13 lakh to Rs 10.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This 5-seater micro SUV has a boot space of 366 liters and its ground clearance is 187mm.
Its 1.2-litre petrol engine generates 86PS and 113Nm torque. It has 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. Only a 5-speed manual transmission is available in its CNG version.
