Amidst the growing popularity of electric two-wheelers, Hero also sells an electric scooter by the name of Vida V1.

Like motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp wants to dominate the electric two-wheeler market as well. The company is constantly working hard for this. The company is preparing to introduce affordable models in the next few months. A senior officer of the company has given this information.

Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp also wants to strengthen its presence in Europe. The company wants to enter markets like Britain, France, Spain and Italy next year.

Hero MotoCorp Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Niranjan Gupta said on the occasion of EICMA that there will be a lot of activity in the product portfolio (in the EV segment) in the next six months. We will also launch electric two-wheelers in the more affordable segment. Hero MotoCorp's Vida electric scooter series is currently priced between Rs 1-1.5 lakh including subsidy.

Performance of Hero Electric Scooter

The company currently sells Vida series electric scooters with more than 400 sales touchpoints in more than 230 cities and towns in the country. Gupta said that the company has performed well in the electric vehicle segment. 11,600 units were sold in the recently concluded festive season.

This leading two-wheeler manufacturer currently sells its two-wheelers in 48 countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Gupta said that the company can introduce two-wheelers at affordable prices in these markets.
