But apart from BYD, China also has many big car brands that are giving tough competition to companies like Tesla and Toyota.

Geely

Geely is one of the leading car manufacturers in China. It owns premium brands like Volvo Cars, Polestar and Lotus. Geely is also known for its electric and hybrid cars. Geely cars are in great demand in Europe and America.

NIO

NIO is called the “Chinese Tesla”. This premium electric car maker is famous for its high-performance EVs and battery swapping technology. NIO's models, such as the ET7 and ES6, compete with Tesla in terms of technology and performance.

XPeng

XPeng Motors makes electric cars with high-tech autonomous driving and smart features. Its XPeng P7 model gives tough competition to Tesla Model 3. In the US, people prefer to buy the XPeng P7 model more than the Tesla Model 3.
