Currently, the only electric car in the Rolls-Royce line-up in the market is the Spectre.
According to reports, the upcoming car could be an SUV, which will be smaller than the Cullinan. However, the company has not given much information about the new car. But new technology and design can be seen in it. This step will further strengthen the company's electric vehicle portfolio.
Petrol-diesel vehicles to be banned by 2030
Rolls-Royce has decided to completely stop making petrol and diesel engine vehicles by 2030. For this, the company is making a huge investment of 300 million pounds in its Goodwood factory. This decision will boost the production and demand of electric vehicles. This can be a good step for the company's growth.
Production of custom vehicles will increase.
Rolls-Royce will now increase the production of custom vehicles like the Phantom, Spectre, Cullinan and Ghost. In 2024, the company increased custom features in every model by 10 percent. Among these vehicles, the highest demand has been for Phantom Extended Wheelbase and Spectre EV. Custom vehicles are made according to the demand of the people. In which the driver and the passengers sitting in the car get a different experience.
There are no plans for hybrid vehicles.
Rolls-Royce has clarified that it will not make hybrid vehicles. The company will directly shift from petrol-diesel vehicles to electric vehicles. CEO Chris Brownridge said that his focus will be only on electric and V12 engine vehicles. This decision will help the company establish itself rapidly in the electric market. While other companies are introducing hybrid models, this decision of Rolls-Royce will turn it completely towards electric vehicles.
