Maruti Suzuki Sale: Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), for the first time in its history, has set the milestone of producing 2 million vehicles in the calendar year. With this, Maruti Suzuki has become the only automaker in India, which has achieved this tremendous achievement in passenger vehicle production. Along with this, Maruti Suzuki has also achieved this milestone in Suzuki Motor Corporation's Global Automobile Production Units.

Ertiga is the 2 millionth vehicle from the company's state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Manesar (Haryana). Out of these 20 lakh vehicles, about 60% are manufactured in Haryana and 40% in Gujarat. The top five cars made during the 2024 calendar year are the Baleno, Fronx, Ertiga, WagonR, and Brezza.

Maruti Suzuki's Manufacturing Capabilities and Expansion Plan

Maruti Suzuki currently operates three manufacturing units. Two are present in Haryana (Gurugram and Manesar) and one in Gujarat (Hansalpur). The total annual production of these plants is 23.5 lakh units. Considering the growing demand for automobiles in India and globally, the company is planning to increase its global production to 40 lakh units.

For this, the company is constructing a new greenfield manufacturing plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana. The construction work of the Kharkhoda plant is progressing according to the plan. Its first unit, which will have an annual capacity of 2.50 lakh units, is expected to be commissioned in 2025.
