Veteran automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has recalled the diesel variants of its popular subcompact SUV XUV300. The main reason for the recall is a faulty intercooler hose which can cause cracks over time.

The homegrown automaker, Mahindra & Mahindra has quietly recalled the diesel variant of its popular XUV300 subcompact SUV in the country. The main reason for the recall is a faulty intercooler hose which can cause cracks over time. The company will contact Mahindra XUV300 owners to inspect their vehicles and replace the defective parts. However, the number of units affected has not been disclosed.

As you are aware, the domestic automaker announced the recall of around 600 vehicles manufactured at its Nashik plant between June 21 and July 2, 2021. The reason behind the recall exercise was said to be premature wear of engine parts due to bad fuel. The production plant received spoiled diesel fuel, which was filled in 600 vehicles.

Currently, the price of Mahindra XUV300 ranges from Rs 7.95 lakh to Rs 13.46 lakh. The price of its petrol variants starts from Rs 7.95 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.63 lakh. The diesel model has been priced between Rs 9.09 lakh and Rs 13.46 lakh. The SUV model lineup includes 8 automatic variants, priced from Rs 9.99 to Rs 13.46 lakh. All the above prices are ex-showroom. The compact SUV comes with 1.5L diesel and 1.2L petrol engines, which are good enough for 115bhp and 300Nm and 109bhp and 200Nm respectively.
