Mahindra BE.05 EV spotted during testing on the roads, know how is its road presence?

Mahindra BE.05 Electric SUV: We recently got a close look at the BE.05 electric SUV and it was a production test mule car and is planned to be launched next year. While we have already seen a glimpse of the production version of the Thar. e at the South Africa showcase. The BE brand SUV will be a fully electric car and will be based on the INGLO platform, and will also have a sharp look. The BE.05 is a coupe-like SUV and will be around 4,370mm long while its wheelbase will be around 2775mm. The coupe-like styling and many attractive details will also be present in its production version. 

Design and range

The production version of the BE.05 will have larger mirrors with large C-shaped DRLs. It also has a split roof-mounted spoiler and a large LED light bar, which have been kept the same as before. Looking at this test car, it is clear that it is quite long and its ground clearance is also excellent. The production-spec model will be available in both single and dual-motor versions with Volkswagen-sourced electric motors. It is expected to get a 79kWh battery pack while its range will be around 450-500km. 

Agreement has been signed with AR Rahman

Overall, the BE.05 looks quite attractive and is primarily a sporty SUV with a coupe-like design theme. Mahindra has also tied up with AR Rahman, wherein he and his team will develop all the sounds for the drive modes and dashboard as well as all the other functions. The launch of this born electric SUV will happen next year, with Mahindra positioning this BE.05 EV above the XUV400, competing with cars like the upcoming Tata Curve, and is expected to start at around Rs 20 lakh. It is expected to be launched by the festive season next year.
