America's new President Donald Trump is going to take oath on January 20. Many big steps are being taken even before taking oath. In this episode, America is going to implement a new rule next week. This will ban Chinese vehicles software and hardware. This information has been given by America's Commerce Secretary Gina Raimundo. She said that America is going to implement this rule from a security point of view. America wants to ban Chinese vehicles on its roads. This decision will make it difficult for Chinese cars and trucks to be sold in America.

In September, the US had proposed that Chinese software and hardware would have to be removed from connected vehicles in the US market. This would make it difficult for Chinese car companies to sell their products in the US. Raimundo said that feedback has been taken from the industry. The US is going to implement it because they are concerned about security. The US does not want suddenly millions of Chinese cars in their country.

The White House has approved this rule. This rule will come into effect from 2027. The ban on hardware will come into effect in 2029. Some automobile companies such as General Motors, Toyota, and Hyundai have demanded an extension of the deadline for implementing this rule. Apart from this, the US has also increased tariffs on goods imported from China. This includes 100 percent duty on electric vehicles and fee on batteries has also been increased.

Preparations to crack down on Chinese cars

Newly elected President Donald Trump will take office on January 20. He said that he wants to stop Chinese cars from being sold in America. If automakers from China and other countries want to come here and make cars, they can open factories in America and give jobs to American people. Electric vehicles are also being monitored in India. This market is growing rapidly. Many companies and governments are taking steps regarding this.
