When will the sleeper Vande Bharat train run?
India's first sleeper Vande Bharat train is scheduled to start from next year i.e. 2025. According to media reports, the country's first sleeper Vande Bharat train can run on the Delhi-Srinagar route in January 2025. According to a report by news agency PTI, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will inaugurate the Vande Bharat train from New Delhi to Kashmir on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link in January next year.
Journey of 800 km in 13 hours
The train will cover the distance of 800 km on the New Delhi-Srinagar route in 13 hours. The train will depart from New Delhi Railway Station at 7 pm and reach Srinagar at 8 am the next morning. The train will halt at Ambala Cantt Junction, Ludhiana Junction, Kathua, Jammu Tawi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Sangaldan and Banihal railway stations.
