As soon as the new year started, there was dense fog all around Delhi-NCR due to which the visibility on the roads has also reduced considerably. Due to low visibility, driving has become very difficult. Sometimes the situation reaches to such an extent that due to dense fog, road accidents happen. To avoid accidents, you need to keep some important things in mind while driving.

If you also drive in fog, do you know whether the headlights should be kept on low beam or high beam while driving in fog? This is an important question whose answer is probably not known to many people.

Low beam or high beam, how to drive?

It is said that it is better to use low beam in fog, this is because on low beam the headlights give light downwards. Of course the light does not go far on low beam but some part of the front of the vehicle is clearly visible on low beam.

On the other hand, it is advisable to avoid using high beam, this is because the light is kept upwards on high beam. Not only this, it is said that keeping the high beam on spreads the light which can reduce visibility. Apart from this, it is also said that if you drive a car on high beam, then the driver coming from the front cannot see anything, due to which a road accident can also happen.

Take care of these things too

Speed: If there is fog, drive the car or any vehicle at a slow speed. The advantage of driving at a slow speed is that in an emergency you can immediately apply brakes and handle the situation. Fog lights: Most vehicles have the facility of fog lights, use fog lights while driving in fog because these lights help in increasing visibility in fog.
