Bike Care: Often some of our habits and mistakes are the reason for bike tyres getting worn out or slipping. These reduce the life of the tyre and also increase the risk of accidents. Let us know about 5 common mistakes due to which bike tyres can get worn out in a month:

AA

1. Not maintaining the correct tyre pressure

Too little or too much air in the tyre causes the tyre to wear unevenly. Low pressure can cause tyres to wear at the edges and high pressure can cause tyres to wear in the centre.

Always follow the tyre pressure suggested by the company and keep checking it regularly.

2. Overloading

Putting more weight on the bike puts extra pressure on the tyres, which causes them to wear out faster.

Overloading not only wears out the tyres but it also ruins the bike’s balance and handling, increasing the risk of slipping.

3. Sudden braking at high speed

Often, sudden braking at high speeds increases tyre friction and makes the tyres wear out faster.

Sharp braking causes uneven wear on the tyre surface, which can make the bike unstable and increase the chances of slipping.

4. Hard cornering

Taking sharp turns at high speeds wears out the edges of the tyres faster.

Hard cornering causes a particular part of the tyre to continue to wear out, making their surface uneven and causing the bike to slip.

5. Not paying attention to the condition of the roads

Riding at high speed on bad, concrete or uneven roads wears out tyres faster. Rough roads put more pressure on the tyre treads.

Drive slowly on such roads and ride carefully on rough spots.

Suggestion

Check the condition of tyres regularly and replace them if necessary.

By taking proper care of bike tyres and driving properly on the roads, the life of the tyre can be increased and the risk of slipping can be reduced.
