Toyota:  Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) launched the Toyota Innova Hycross in December 2022. Since then this car has been selling well and its demand is very high in India. The company stopped booking for the top model ZX and ZX(O) hybrid variants in April 2023, which was started again a year later in April 2024. But now again after just one month, Toyota has stopped the booking of these top model hybrid vehicles.

What is the reason for this?

The biggest reason for stopping the booking of these trains is the very long waiting period. The waiting period for these hybrid variants is up to 15 months and it is expected that booking will start again only when this waiting period reduces. But you can still book the mid-level VX and VX (O) hybrid vehicles. To book these trains you will have to pay Rs 50,000. The waiting period for these vehicles is about 3 months.

Toyota Innova Hycross GX(O)

In some other news, the company has recently launched the Toyota Innova Hycross GX(O) variant whose starting price is Rs 20.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant is Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the old GX variant and can be had in both 7 and 8-seater options. In this, you get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-tone interior, automatic climate control, dual-tone seats, soft-touch dashboard, LED frog lamps, sunshades for the rear seats (only 7 Seater), 360-degree camera and front parking sensor are available.

Toyota Innova Hycross GX (O) Petrol has a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 173 horsepower and 209Nm of torque. This vehicle only has the option of a CVT automatic gearbox which transmits the power of the vehicle to the front wheels. The Hycross also has the option of a 2.0-litre strong hybrid petrol engine which produces a total power of 184 horsepower and comes with an e-Drive transmission.

Both the engines of the Innova Hycross provide power only to the front wheels and there is no manual transmission option. The company claims that the hybrid vehicle gives a mileage of 23.24 kilometers per liter and the regular petrol vehicle gives a mileage of 16.13 kilometers per liter.
