Hyundai sells its only electric SUV in the market, the Kona, but nowadays a video of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 remains a topic of discussion. South Korean company Hyundai's Ioniq 5 has recently been spotted on the roads of Chennai. The all-electric Ioniq 5 was also showcased during the opening ceremony of Hyundai's new headquarters in Gurugram. Although the company did not announce the launch date in India nor did the price information. Now, this photo is seen for testing and it is expected that this car will be launched soon.

This Hyundai car has a great driving setup

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 uses two battery packs 58kWh and 72.6kWh, with the carmaker offering a rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive setup with both the batteries. The larger battery pack offers a WLTP range of up to 481km, while the other battery pack offers a range of up to 385km, giving a great driving range. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 made its global debut in February 2021 as the first EV to be produced under Hyundai's EV sub-section Ioniq. This electric is built on a made-for-EV platform called Global Modular Architecture (e-GMP).

When will it be launched in India?

Like the Porsche Taycan, the Ioniq 5 also uses 800-volt super-fast charging technology. According to WLTP, it can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes with the fastest supported charger. Apart from this, it gets a range of 100 km on five minutes of charging. Hyundai may launch the Ioniq 5 in India in 2022 or 2023.

Design and cabin

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a futuristic electric crossover SUV car. According to Hyundai, the exterior design of the Ioniq 5 is inspired by the Pony (the carmaker's first mass-market car). High LED headlights and quad DRLs have been given in the front. Similarly, the rear gets a square-shaped LED rear light and an integrated spoiler.

There are two large 12.25-inch displays in the cabin, including an instrument cluster and an infotainment touchscreen. Apart from this, Hyundai Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, hands-free tailgate, 360-degree camera, seven airbags, and level 2 autonomous facility have been provided.
