Xiaomi India is going to host another flash cell of Redmi Note 9 Pro today. Launched in March, the handset is a follow up to the company's popular Redmi Note 8 Pro. The smartphone features a new square camera module and a punch-hole display at the front. The company also launched Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, which offers a high resolution camera and high memory and RAM options. The Note 9 Pro will go on sale at 12 noon today on Amazon India and Mi.com.
Redmi Note 9 Pro features
The Redmi Note 9 Pro has a 6.67-inch full-HD + LCD display. The top center features a quad-camera setup in a punch hole and a square module. Like the previous Redmi Note 8 series, it has gorilla glass on the front and back. It includes side-mounted fingerprint scanners similar to the Poco X2 and Realme 6 Series.
The device is powered by the new 8nm-based Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G which should be more efficient and slightly more powerful than the 730G. The smartphone will be offered in two variants - 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. There is also a dedicated microSD card slot to further increase storage.
The square camera module is placed in the center. It includes a 48-megapixel main sensor next to an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Apart from this, it has a 5-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the same time, the front has a 16-megapixel selfie camera in the punch-hole. According to the company, the camera is capable of shooting some nifty tricks in RAW photography and Pro mode while shooting video.
The battery unit is 5,020mAh and it supports 18W fast charging. Other features include support for 4G VoLTE, NaVIC GPS, dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, P2i coating, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset will come with Android 10 with MIUI 11. There are three color options to choose from, including Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black.
