Reliance Industries Limited's June quarter results have been declared. Reliance Jio added the fastest customers in this quarter. According to the company's claim, 4 crores 23 lakh new customers have been added in the last 12 months, after which the total number of customers has now increased to 44 crores 6 lakh. With these figures, Jio has become the largest telecom company in the country. Jio has added 143 million new customers in this quarter alone.
If we look at these figures, then the lockdown or epidemic has not affected Jio. The biggest contributor to the company's profits has been its digital service. On the one hand, where Jio has added crores of customers, on the other hand, Jio Fiber has also got good benefits. According to the company's claim, Jio Fiber has reached 30 lakh homes so far.
Increase in data cost
Jio customers spent a total of 20 exabytes or about 20 billion GB of data during the June quarter. It has increased by 38.5 percent on an annual basis. Jio customers made 1.06 trillion minutes of calls during the quarter and grew by 19.5 percent year-on-year. The company's average revenue per user has been Rs 138 per month. At the same time, the average data consumption per user has increased to 15.6GB.

Let us tell you that during the June quarter itself, Jio's new phone Jio Phone Next has been announced. This first smartphone of Jio has been prepared in partnership with Google. Mukesh Ambani has described Jio Phone Next as the best and cheapest smartphone in the world. The sale of Jio Phone Next phone is going to be held from 10 September 2021 on the special occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, although no information has been given about the price yet.
