Today, the last trading day of the week i.e. Friday, the stock market closed at a flat level after the day's volatility. The Bombay Stock Exchange's flagship index Sensex closed at 52,344.45, up 21.12 points (0.07 percent). On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 15,683.35, down 8.05 points, or 0.05 percent, marginally. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex had gained 374.71 points or 0.71 percent.
The decline in Jhunjhunwala's investment company
Shares of gaming firm Nazara Technologies, invested by veteran investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, fell heavily today. After opening at the level of 1650.00, the share of Nazara Technologies closed down 147.10 points (8.84 percent) at 1517.85 on the BSE today. In the previous session, it had closed at the level of 1664.95. In fact, foreign brokerage firm CLSA has said that the premium valuation of this stock is very high. The firm has given it a sell rating and has set a target price of Rs 1,095. The premium for Nazara, the country's first listed gaming company, is three times higher than its Indian coverage and 10 to 75 percent higher than global gaming companies. That's why the company's shares broke today.

Talking about the big stocks, today the shares of Adani Ports, Bajaj Auto, Hindustan Unilever, Bharti Airtel, and Grasim closed on the green mark. On the other hand, shares of ONGC, Coal India, JSW Steel, NTPC, and UPL closed on the red mark.

Looking at the sectoral index, today all the sectors except FMCG, Finance Services, and Private Bank closed on the red mark. These include IT, PSU Bank, Pharma, Metal, Auto, Bank, Realty, and Media.

The Sensex opened at 52517.71 with a gain of 194.38 points (0.37 percent) in early trade. Nifty opened at 15742 levels with a gain of 50.60 points (0.32 percent). But then the Sensex-Nifty fell and the market started trading on the red mark.
