Xiaomi initially launched the Redmi Note 8 in two variants in India. The base model with 4GB RAM / 64GB internal storage and the top-end model with 6GB RAM / 128GB storage. Both models of Redmi Note 8 are being sold in India and their demand is also very high. Xiaomi has now launched a new variant of Redmi Note 8 with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
According to a report by 91Mobiles, the Redmi Note 8 3GB RAM model will be available only at offline stores. The smartphone comes with a price of Rs 9,799. The new model of Redmi Note 8 is the cheapest among them all. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model of the Redmi Note 8 is available at an initial price of Rs 9,999. The top-end model of Redmi Note 8 with 6GB of RAM sells for Rs 12,999. The 4GB / 6GB RAM variant of the phone will be available offline as well as online stores.
The new variant of the Redmi Note 8 differs from other models only in terms of RAM and storage, the rest of the features are the same. The phone comes with a 6.39-inch full HD + display with 2340 × 1080 pixels resolution. The screen of Redmi Note 8 is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The back of the phone is also protected with GG5.
Redmi Note 8 is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 665 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also has expandable storage support. The phone runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie and will soon be upgraded to Android 10.
There are four cameras in addition to the fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. The phone includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the selfie, there is a 13MP selfie shooter. The Redmi Note 8 includes a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. The phone comes with USB Type C support.
