Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has launched a mobile app for the National Cadet Corps (NCC). The name of this app launched for NCC cadets is DGNCC. The purpose of this app is to train cadets online. In this app, cadets will get complete information about training videos, training materials, and syllabus. Apart from this, cadets will also be able to ask questions. A panel of qualified instructors will answer the questions asked in the app.
This app has been introduced keeping in mind the growing corona infection in the country so that the training of cadets should not stop even in the event of school and college not opening. Apart from the Defense Minister, Defense Secretary Ajay Kumar, Director General NCC Lt Gen Rajeev Chopra, and other senior civil and military officers of the Ministry were present on the occasion of the launch of the app. The DG NCC app can be downloaded for free from Google Play Store. The app size is 7.8 MB.
According to the statement, the app has been made interactive by including the option to ask questions. Cadets can ask questions related to the training course using this option and will be answered by a panel of qualified instructors. "
After the release of the app, Singh tweeted that the app would be useful for NCC cadets regarding 'digital learning' and would overcome the difficulties of 'direct contact' faced by Kovid-19 restrictions.
He said, "NCC imparts values of unity, discipline, service to the nation. I interacted with NCC cadets during the app launch and also answered their questions. I wish them success and a bright future. "
