New Restriction policy by WhatApp, WhatsApp users must read this important news

For your information, let us tell you that WhatsApp is allegedly banning users who are participants of groups with illegal names or subjects. WhatsApp groups with names denoting illegal activities on messaging platforms are getting banned. As a result, every member of that group is banned from WhatsApp.

The first example of this WhatsApp ban was reported by Reddit user Mowe11, who said he was banned after changing the name of his university group to 'child pornography'. Every member of this group was banned from WhatsApp without prior notice. When contacted by WhatsApp, these users received an automated response saying that they violated the messaging app's rules.

Let us tell you that WhatsApp restored its account after one week of banning the user but without any explanation. More users reported similar incidents on their WhatsApp accounts. This one WhatsApp group with around 50 participants was banned because they changed the group's name to 'disgusting'. In the afternoon the group's name was changed and all members were banned from WhatsApp the same night. WhatsApp restored the accounts of these users after a restriction period of 27 days.

The ban notice for these groups is a big surprise as WhatsApp is a private messaging app. Besides, WhatsApp messages are protected with end-to-end encryption, which messages are not read. WhatsApp has restrictions like temporary restrictions for users visiting unauthorized apps. If the company's terms of service are violated, WhatsApp bans the accounts. But it is mostly related to WhatsApp Business Account.

The new restriction practice can be an automated process of WhatsApp that detects such activities through metadata. WABetaInfo explains, "This is probably the only way WhatsApp can use to detect malicious groups, noticed that chat and calls are encrypted end-to-end and they cannot see the group's content.
