India got off to a good start on the seventh day of the Tokyo Olympics. Star badminton player PV Sindhu defeated Mia of Denmark in the last 16 matches of the women's singles to reach the last eight. Now Sindhu will face Yamaguchi. On the other hand, the Indian men's hockey team defeated defending Olympic champions Argentina 3-1 to reach the quarter-finals. While Atanu Das has reached the last eight in the men's individual event in archery. Boxer Satish Kumar made it to the quarterfinals of the 91kg category. The sixth day of the Olympics was a mixed one for India. India's medal-winning hopes are alive with better performances from Deepika Kumari, Pooja Rani, and PV Sindhu.



India ranked fifth in rowing

Archer Atanu Das reached the last eight

Atanu Das has gone a step ahead to win a medal at the Tokyo Olympics. He made it to the last eight in the men's individual archery event. Atanu defeated Jinyek Oh in the last 16 matches of Korea. Atun won the match 6-5. The match reached a shootout in which the Korean player scored 9 and Atanu scored 10.

Boxer Satish Kumar reached the quarter-finals

Indian boxer Satish Kumar has reached the quarterfinals of the 91kg event. He defeated Ricardo Brown of Jamaica in the last 16 of the 91kg category. Satish won this match by 4-1. Satish defeated the Jamaican boxer 5-0 in the first round and 4-1 in the second round. He is one step away from winning a medal.
