Tokyo Olympics: IOA to give Rs 75 lakh to Tokyo Olympic gold medalist!


The Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 has finally started today i.e. Friday, for the official start, there will be an opening ceremony on Friday evening, which has been kept very normal due to the Corona epidemic. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Thursday announced that it will give a cash prize of Rs 75 lakh to the Tokyo Olympic Games gold medalist. Apart from this, each participant will give Rs 25 lakh as a bonus to the National Sports Federation (NSF).

The Advisory Committee of the IOA has announced a grant of Rs 40 lakh to the silver medalists and Rs 25 lakh to the bronze medal winners. has also been recommended.

The IOA has also accepted the committee's decision to give an additional contribution of Rs 25 lakh to each participating NSF and Rs 30 lakh to the medal-winning NSFs.

Apart from this, each of the other national sports federations will get a support of Rs 15 lakh. IOA Secretary General Rajeev Mehta said, "For the first time, IOA is going to reward medal winners and their NSFs."
