Legendary boxer Mike Tyson cut Evander Holyfield's ear twice in 1997. This incident had made a lot of headlines.



Tokyo. A Moroccan heavyweight boxer (91kg) tried to cut off a New Zealand opponent's ear in his opening bout at the Tokyo Olympics. Youness Baalla tried to cut the ring near David Nyka's ear like Mike Tyson in the third-round match.

Yunus was defeated by a unanimous decision of the judges and Nyka reached the quarter-finals. Yunus, however, was wearing a mouth guard, due to which there was no trace of his teeth near Nyka's ear.

Wanted to bite the bat

Nyka said that he was not able to cut completely. I was lucky that he was wearing a mouthguard and it was not that serious. I think he wanted to bite on my cheek.
