Tokyo Olympics 2020: Deepika Kumari's dream of playing in the Olympics with her husband is broken, this is the reason 


The second day of Tokyo Olympics-2020 can prove to be historic for India. On Saturday, some players, who are considered to be strong contenders for the Olympic medal from India, will try to win medals.

Deepika Kumari will join Maharashtra's Praveen Jadhav in the mixed team event on Saturday. Her dream of playing in the Olympics with her husband (Atanu Das) is shattered. Maharashtra's Praveen Jadhav has been named as Deepika Kumari's partner in the mixed team event after Atanu Das did not perform well in the men's ranking round today.

According to reports, earlier Atanu Das and Deepika Kumari were to enter the mixed team event as a pair. World number-1 archer Deepika Kumari recently won three gold medals in the World Cup.

India is expected to medal in archery as well as shooting and weightlifting on Saturday. Shooting Saurabh, Apurvi, Elavenil will present their challenge. Apurvi Chandela of Rajasthan is the highest hope of a medal. Mirabai will show her strength in weightlifting.

The opening ceremony of the Olympics has started in Tokyo. In this, a team of 25 members is participating from India's side.
