South African wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock has broken a huge record of legends like former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, AB de Villiers, and Shahid Afridi in Test cricket.


Quinton de Kock holds the record for most sixes in an innings against West Indies in the Gros Ile Test.


Quinton de Kock played an unbeaten inning of 141 runs facing the sixth number 170 balls. During the sixth century of his Test career, de Kock hit seven sixes. With the help of his innings, South Africa scored 322 runs in the first innings to take a 125-run lead over West Indies.

Earlier, against this team in West Indies, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, AB de Villiers, and Shahid Afridi had hit six sixes each. Afridi achieved this feat in 2005, Dhoni in 2006, and de Villiers in 2010.
