Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy: Rajasthan wins fourth, Menaria played captaincy innings!


Following the half-century innings of skipper Ashok Menaria (67), Rajasthan bowled Saurashtra by 15 runs in the Elite Group D of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy thanks to the bowlers' brilliant performance. With this win, Rajasthan finished first in the group by winning four out of five matches.

Rajasthan, batting first, scored 165 for five wickets in the scheduled overs. In reply, the Saurashtra team could also score only 150 runs for five wickets in the same number of overs. For Rajasthan, captain Ashok Menaria scored 67 runs off 52 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes.

Amit Lamba contributed 40 and Mahipal Lomror contributed 24 runs. Motivational Mankad scored 61 runs from Saurashtra. For Rajasthan, fast bowler Aniket Chaudhary took the maximum two wickets. While Rahul Chahar and Ravi Bishnoi took one wicket each.
