The Board of Control for Cricket in India has been forced to intercept the 14th edition of the IPL after several players have been infected with the corona. It has been postponed after the tournament had 29 matches. Now the BCCI is trying to find the right option to host the remaining 31 matches of this tournament.
At the same time, proposals have also been received from abroad to host IPL-14. After England's counties, Sri Lanka Cricket has now proposed to the BCCI to host the remaining matches of IPL-14.
The Sri Lankan Board is hoping for economic benefits from the IPL-14, due to which it is ready to hold the remaining matches of the tournament on its land. Last year too, the Sri Lankan Board had expressed a desire to have the IPL organized in their country, but the BCCI had given the hosting to the UAE for the same.
