After centuries from Devon Conway (126) and Darryl Machel (100 not out), New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by 164 runs in the second ODI thanks to James Neesham's killer bowling.
Batting first, the hosts scored a mammoth score of 318 runs in the scheduled 50 overs. In response, the Bangladesh team collapsed for only 154 runs in 42.4 overs. Mahmudullah scored the most unbeaten 76 runs for Bangladesh. On behalf of the Kiwi team, James Neesham took five for 27 and Matt Henry took four wickets for the same number of runs.
