Defending champion Mumbai Indians pacer Trent Boult has sounded the alarm bells for the opposing teams even before the upcoming edition of the IPL begins. Boult has done brilliantly with four wickets in the first ODI against Bangladesh today. New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by eight wickets based on their killer bowling.
Bangladesh got all out in front of the bowling of NZ for only 131 runs in 41.5 overs. Boult took four wickets for 27 runs in 8.5 overs. While James Nisham and Mitchell Santner took two wickets each.
In response, New Zealand achieved the target for two wickets in 21.2 overs. Henry Nicholls scored the most unbeaten 49 runs for New Zealand. While Martin Guptill also contributed 38 runs. Earlier, Mahmudullah scored the most 27 runs for Bangladesh.
