The IPL 2021 players are to be auctioned in February but no official date has been confirmed for this yet. On Thursday, IPL chairman Brijesh Patel had said that players would be retained by January 21. The chairman has also said that the IPL teams will have an amount of 85 crores to buy players and there will be no increase in this budget in the year 2021.

Mumbai Indians need to retain their big players as their combination is good. But the team can release some players on a budget of Rs 1 crore 95 lakh.

Chennai Superkings now had an amount of Rs 15 lakh left since the last auction. In such a situation, Kedar Jadhav and Piyush Chawla can be released from the team.

Rajasthan Royals will have Rs 14 crore 75 lakh which is the highest while Sunrisers Hyderabad has an amount of Rs 10 crore 10 lakh.

Delhi Capitals will have Rs 9 crore, Kolkata Knight Riders 8 crore 50 lakh and Royal Challengers Bangalore will have Rs 6 crore 40 lakh.
