The Governing Council of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday decided to retain all sponsors including the Chinese mobile company Vivo and made the COVID-19 transition (COVID-19) during the tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this year. The IPL Governing Council (GC) decided in a 'virtual' meeting held on Sunday that in the event of government approval (expected to be held in the next two days) the tournament will be held from 19 September to 10 November in three UAE (UAE) stadiums. - Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi - to be played.



The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has clearly told the IPL franchises that no team can leave the United Arab Emirates (UAE) before August 20.

Earlier, there were reports that the team of Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians could leave for Abu Dhabi on 10 or 12 August, but now they will have to postpone their plans.

A franchise official said that the IPL Governing Council has sent a mail, clearly stating that no team can leave for UAE before 20 August.
