The team was dismissed for 79 in 2013 against Mumbai itself. The team had lost three wickets for just three runs. This was the first time in six overs of the Powerplay when Chennai lost five wickets. Rituraj returned to the team, N. Jagadishan could not even open the account. Fof du Plessis scored one, Rayudu two and Ravindra Jadeja scored seven. Captain Dhoni scored 16 runs.


Best partnership on ninth wicket:

Sam shared a 43-run partnership with Imran Tahir (13 *) on the ninth wicket which not only helped the innings but also Chennai's best partnership on this wicket. Earlier in 2018, Bravo and Imran Tahir added 41 runs. Dhoni and Ashwin also added 41 runs in 2013 in Kolkata.

Best performance of the bolt:

This is New Zealand's Trent Boult's best performance in IPL. Earlier, he took three wickets for 19 against Kings XI Punjab in Mohali in 2015.
