Delhi Capitals opener Prithvi Shaw gave his team an easy win against Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday with a stormy innings of 82 runs on only 41 balls. During this innings, he has also recorded his name records.
Shaw registered his name in the IPL by scoring six consecutive fours in the very first half of Delhi's innings. With this, he has become the first cricket in any season to hit fours in six consecutive balls in the very first over of an innings. He hit six consecutive fours in KKR bowler Shivam Mavi's over. He became the second batsman in the IPL to hit six fours in an over.
Earlier Ajinkya Rahane achieved this feat in the year 2012 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. During this innings, Prithvi Shaw hit the fastest half-century in the 14th season of IPL. He scored a half-century off 18 balls. He has equaled Rishabh Pant's record for the fastest half-century for Delhi.
