India has given England a huge target of 482 runs to win the second Test match being played in Chennai. If the England team, captained by Joe Root, has to win this match, then it will have to set a world record, because, in cricket history, no team has achieved such a big goal in the fourth innings.
India scored 286 runs in the second innings with the help of superb innings of Ravichandra Ashwin (106) and captain Virat Kohli (62). This gave Team India a lead of 481 runs.
Ashwin scored the fifth century of his Test career at his home ground. He faced 148 balls during his century. He hit 14 fours and a six during this innings. Virat Kohli played a half-century in 149 balls. Moin Ali and Jack Leach took the most four wickets each from England. Oli Stone took one wicket.
